The Southwest Small Business Development Center (SBDC) develops and maintains partnerships among community organizations and local, state and federal agencies, providing a focal point for a broad network of public and private resources at the community level. SBDC partnership programs and activities serving small businesses have contributed significantly to economic growth in Minnesota and across the nation.
The Southwest SBDC provides one-on-one business counseling to entrepreneurs with valuable information on everything from how to write an effective business plan and how to obtain a loan to strategic marketing techniques. In addition, the Southwest SBDC networks with other organizations to provide clients with expert assistance in such areas as competing for government contracts and expanding markets through exporting. We also provide comprehensive business resource materials and database access for business research.
