Rural and Regional Studies Fellow, William Palmer, will present on Thursday, December 8, Noon to 1:00 p.m. in SS 230. His presentation will explore how and why the Cold War came to Southwest Minnesota in the form of the 787th Radar Squadron. It will discuss the mission, operations, and impacts of the former Chandler Air Force States and its relationships with the surround rural communities.
