Verena Winiwarter, Hertha Firnberg Research Fellow, at the Institute for Anthropology, Vienna University and President, European Society for Environmental History, gave a talk entitled "A Distant Past Still Lingering: Long-term Environmental History and Historical Ecology of Rural Austria" on Tuesday October 2, 2001 at 2:00 p.m. in Student Center 158 on the campus of Southwest Minnesota State University. This presentation was free and open to the public.
