A major conference for Southwestern Minnesota, Business & Banking in the Countryside, serves the practical purposes of regional leaders by offering comprehensive knowledge of the history as well as current and evolving issues regarding business and banking in Southwestern Minnesota. Through lectures and panel discussions, experts will respond to questions and comments.

"Business History," an introduction of the new book, Community of Strangers: Change, Turnover, Turbulence & Transformation of a Midwestern Country Town, Dr. Joseph Amato, SSU Professor emeritus of History and former Dean of Rural and Regional Studies, and Dr. John Radzilowski, historical author and editor.

LUNCHEON - hosted by the Southwest State University's Center for Rural and Regional Studies and the Otto Bremer Foundation.

Panel Discussion - "Memories and Reminiscences of Banking in Southwestern Minnesota" by retired bankers from the region.
