Joseph Amato and Janet Timmerman hosted an historical
bus tour of Lac qui Parle and Chippewa Counties for the SMSU Senior

village at Montevideo, Red River Ox Cart Trails, and the Lac qui

Janet Timmerman was the keynote speaker at the School
for Environmental Science's Rural Conference in Apple Valley,
MN, February 17, 2005. She also led two breakout sessions on Agricultural
Tiling and Drainage and participated in a panel of Rural educators.
Janet Timmerman attended the premier opening of
the Twin Cities Public Television documentary "Minnesota:
A History of the Land," February, 13, 2005. In 2001 Janet
worked with TPT on a segment for the program.
The Center co-sponsored the Rivers
of History Outreach Project. Two events were held, one
in Montevideo, MN, and the other in Minneapolis, MN with presenters
John Anfinson and Anthony Amato.
