During the summer and the fall, Anthony Amato (Rural and Regional Studies) participated in several conferences. In late May, he presented, "From Badland to the Badlands" at the 34th Annual Dakota Conference. In September, he delivered "Thinking Unlike a Mountain" at "The Environment and Sustainable Development in the New Central Europe," an international conference. In October, he presented "Against the Stream" at the Northern Great Plains History Conference.
