Joseph Amato, Geoff Cunfer, Anthony Amato, and Jan Louwagie of the Center for Rural and Regional Studies were invited to speak at "Exploring Local and Regional Resources," a conference hosted by the University of Minnesota, Duluth on April 6th. The primary purpose for this conference was to bring together UMD faculty and regional experts with Northern Minnesota and Twin Ports museum staff to exchange ideas on the collaborative use of educational and local and regional resources. In a morning panel session, the four SSU participants spoke about "Starting a Local and Regional History Center." Joseph Amato also moderated an afternoon discussion to close the conference.
