An article entitled Banking History Reflects the Life of a Community was published in the October 2000 issue of the fedgazette by the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis. The article reports the findings of former Minneapolis Fed economist David Dahl. Mr. Dahl first presented this work about the history of banking in Lyon County at the Center's 1999 conference, "Business and Banking in the Countryside."
