How will my courses transfer? (CAS)

CAS (Course Applicability System): is a free web-based system for transfer information. CAS offers you the convenience of obtaining accurate information about how your courses will transfer into Southwest Minnesota State University’s LAC/MTC and degree programs

How will my courses transfer into SMSU?
To get started log in to: https://mn.transfer.org/cas/

Click on Guest Log in
Go to Course Equivalencies
You can either browse by school or search by course

Browse CAS as a guest to:
1. Access course descriptions
2. Explore academic programs
3. View Course equivalency tables

If you are interested in gaining more from CAS, become a member. CAS membership is free and open to anyone.

• Click on “Create Account”
• Select Minnesota and Southwest Minnesota State University
• Complete the registration from and click “Submit”

Once you are logged in…
• Your next step is to enter and store your classes
o Either from the Course Bank or
o Through the Self Report option

Planning Guides
• Planning guides can be run to show you how your courses transfer into your major of choice at SMSU
o Create a planning guide
o Choose SMSU
o Click on ‘All Programs’
o Click on your major of choice
